For business

Public interior design

We design public interiors for restaurants, offices, hotels and showrooms, from the concept through to technical documentation ready to build from. Every commercial space is planned around the business goals of the project: guest flow, brand perception and return on investment.

Tasks

What this service solves

What the service handles for you in practice.

  1. 01We design an interior that reads as part of the brand and sets the venue apart from competitors.
  2. 02We plan the layout around guest flow, service speed and the venue’s profitability.
  3. 03We plan each zone around how people move: staff work without obstruction, guests are comfortable staying longer.
  4. 04We prepare the project for construction and approvals, in line with food-service regulations.

Scope

What the project includes

  1. 01A concept and technical brief built around the business goals of the project.
  2. 02A layout worked out around guest and staff flows.
  3. 03Photorealistic 3D visualisation of key areas.
  4. 04Technical documentation: plans, wall elevations, lighting and electrical layouts, and junction details.
  5. 05Schedules of materials, furniture and equipment, plus a cost estimate.
  6. 06Brand accents and signature interior elements.

Result

What you get

Not just pictures, but a complete set of solutions ready to build from.

  • An interior that works for the brand and sets the right atmosphere from the first visit.
  • Ergonomics that keep service moving and stop staff from crossing the guest flow.
  • A complete set of documentation for contractors: plans, wall elevations and specifications, with nothing left to interpretation.
  • A space guests want to return to.

Honestly

What is not included

We set the boundaries of the service upfront, so there are no surprises.

  • Construction, installation and finishing works. They are carried out by the contractor in accordance with our documentation and under design supervision.
  • Building services: ventilation and air conditioning, electrics with load calculations, low-voltage systems and fire alarms. These sections are calculated and designed by specialist engineers.
  • Approvals with the relevant fire-safety and public-health authorities for food-service venues and hotels. This is a separate procedure: we will outline it and put you in touch with partners we have worked with.
  • Furnishing and procurement of furniture and equipment. We treat it as a separate service with supply support.
  • Branding, wayfinding, and signage as graphic design. We handle it separately or together with a specialised studio.

Why us

Why us

01

20 years and 250+ completed projects

Restaurants, offices, hotels, showrooms — different typologies within one portfolio.

02

Designed for a business goal, not a trend

The space works for revenue, guest flow and brand perception.

03

A full project — from concept to documentation

Schedules, specifications and wall elevations that leave the contractor nothing to interpret.

04

We follow regulations and technical requirements

We build food-service requirements, staff flows and building services into the design from the start, rather than correcting them on site.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does public interior design cost?

Pricing is calculated per m² and depends on the type of venue, the scope of work and the floor area. A concept with a layout — from €50/m²; a full project with 3D visualisation and technical documentation — from €70/m². We prepare an exact figure at a meeting about your project.

What types of venues do you design?

We design restaurants, bars, cafés, hotels, offices, shops and showrooms. Each type needs its own logic of zoning and ergonomics: for a restaurant, guest flow and service speed are critical; for an office, it is an environment that keeps the team productive.

Do you take food-safety rules and kitchen technology into account?

Yes. When we design restaurants and cafés, we take the kitchen’s technical layout into account, along with food-safety and hygiene regulations and the requirements for separating zones. The project is built from the outset to pass approvals without rework.

Do you work on a turnkey basis — does that mean you handle both design and construction?

No. The studio designs and supervises, but does not carry out construction work with its own crews. In our format, “turnkey” means the complete project, furnishing and procurement of materials and furniture, and design supervision at every stage of the build.

What are the project development timelines?

It depends on the floor area and the complexity of the project. The layout and concept are locked in within 3–5 weeks; the technical documentation follows within 4–8 weeks of the concept being approved. We set out the stage-by-stage schedule at the start.

How do you design guest flow ergonomics?

At the layout stage we work out guest and staff routes separately: a guest should read the space intuitively, while a waiter moves without crossing the guest flow. That feeds directly into service speed and average spend.

Can you develop a concept that rolls out across a chain?

Yes. For chain venues we develop a base concept that sets out the brand’s signature elements and the rules for adapting them to different floor areas and locations. Every site keeps the brand recognisable while allowing for the specifics of the particular premises.

What exactly is included in a full project?

Concept and technical brief; a layout with the ergonomics of each zone; photorealistic 3D visualisation of the key spaces; technical documentation (plans, wall elevations, lighting, electrics, junction details); schedules of materials, furniture and equipment; a cost estimate.

How does a commercial interior project differ from a residential one?

A commercial interior is planned around the flow of people, fire-safety regulations and the requirements of the particular business, whether food service, retail or consumer services, rather than around the client’s personal taste. Materials and finishes are chosen for the load they take and the way they will be cleaned, not only for how they look. On site, design supervision (/services/supervision) checks that decisions are followed: an error in a commercial project stops the business, it does not merely delay a move-in date.

How do we start working on the project?

Send us an enquiry or give us a call. At the first meeting we set out the business goals, the type of venue, the floor area and the timeline, and then prepare the technical brief and a proposal. The meeting takes about an hour.
