About the project
A private house of 320 m² in the aesthetic of art deco, a large domestic project. The studio designed every area, from the formal living room and the kitchen and dining room to the master and guest bedrooms, the bathrooms, the stair hall and the recreation room.
Client request
The owners commissioned a full design project for a spacious private house. Two wishes stood out: to bring three adjoining rooms on the ground floor together into one open living, kitchen and dining space, and to fit two basins into the master bathroom in an unusual arrangement.
Challenge
The main task was to gather a spacious 320 m² house into one art deco story, in which the geometry of gilded screens, marble and crystal is legible in every room. On the ground floor, three rooms were brought together into a light kitchen, living and dining space that is formal and intimate at the same time.
Concept
The concept is art deco at domestic scale: strict geometry of form, accent details and materials that carry a sense of occasion. In the living room, joining three rooms gave a large, light space with clear zoning and no physical partitions. In the bathrooms the studio deliberately used decorative chandeliers and an unusual arrangement of fittings, so that each room reads as a statement in its own right.
Result
The house came out whole and formal: the art deco theme runs through every floor, and the light ground floor, the master and guest rooms, the stair hall and the recreation room add up to one way of life for a large family. Gold, marble, crystal and saturated accents give the interior the emotional elegance it was conceived for.

01 Zone
Living room
Joining three rooms on the ground floor gave the studio a large, light space of kitchen, living room and dining room. A pale corner sofa with cushions in mixed textures stands against wall panels with a gilded edge, while graphic prints and brass floor lamps complete the formal art deco of the living room.
02 Zone
Kitchen-dining room
Joining the three ground-floor rooms gave a large, light kitchen and dining space. Dark classical cabinetry with brass handles contrasts with pale textiles and a cascading crystal chandelier over the dining table. Soft yellow armchairs bring warmth and character to the room.
03 Zone
Master bedroom
The heart of the bedroom is the headboard, set against gilded geometric screens and a marble panel and crowned by a starburst chandelier in the art deco manner. Deep turquoise velvet on the chairs and graphic textiles give a fine contrast, and herringbone parquet completes the formal composition.

Master bathroom
The generous bathroom is built around a geometric gold panel and two large windows. A mirrored ceiling and a crystal chandelier give the space its particular polish, while the warm beige of the stone keeps it comfortable and elegant.

Guest bathroom
A bathroom with chandeliers and a large window is something most people would want. Cascading crystal chandeliers over the double basin, pale marble with a soft natural figure and a shower behind a glass screen give the space the polish and elegance that belong to art deco.

Guest bedroom
The quiet guest bedroom is built on soft beige and grey. A quilted headboard, paired wall lights and graphic wallpaper make it intimate, and herringbone parquet answers the other rooms in the house.

Stair hall
The formal stair hall meets you with a marble floor, mirrored panels and openwork gold sphere chandeliers. A black lacquered door with a brass profile and graphic paintings set the tone for the whole house.

Recreation room
The intimate recreation room is held in a pale palette with an accent blue sofa and a brass coffee table. A cascading crystal chandelier and abstract paintings make the space calm and expressive at once.

Why have a separate recreation room in a house that already has a living room?
The recreation room is a private space with no traffic passing through it, unlike the living room, which often receives guests and sits next to the kitchen and dining room. Here it came into the project as the eighth area, apart from the shared part of the house.
